The good and bad of living in Margate

OK so I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Rent is about $1,662/month for a decent place. Crime rate is something to consider -Margate sits at 166.8 per 100K. It's a a smaller city city with about 58,418 people. Median household income is $60,852, which feels about average for the area. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Let me know your thoughts. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

The food scene here is pretty good. Tons of great sushi places. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

I've lived in Old Town for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Active local events and festivals
- The community vibe scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. Definitely worth checking out..
