Hi all, I'm a college student here and You can expect to pay around $580 for rent here. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want safety, then yeah this place is great. But if weather matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Houston it's solid.

I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Lots of new development happening
- The dating scene scene is pretty good
The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. Hope this helps!.
