Been meaning to ask this. I'm a remote worker and You can expect to pay around $1,919 for rent here. It's a a smaller city city with about 62,986 people. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Am I overthinking this? The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Portland, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good internet infrastructure
- The weather scene is better than expected
The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for families. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
