Things Maricopa needs to improve

Hey everyone, I'm single, late 20s, and The median home value here is around $338,600, which seems about average. Average temperature is around 71--F, so it's warm year-round. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Am I overthinking this? Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value community vibe, you'll love it. The housing market is genuinely decent and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (Highland) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Seattle, be prepared for the culture shock. healthcare is completely different here. And Limited shopping options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Internet is solid in most areas.

Public transit is solid here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it was the best decision I ever made.
