How much do you pay for rent in Marietta?

Curious what people think. Average temperature is around 60--F, so the weather is moderate. Household incomes average around $70,086 in Marietta. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Worth the trade-offs? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Greenfield. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in tech. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are decent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a HR manager who relocated here from Portland about 4 years ago. The main reasons were work and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong job market in several industries

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are manageable, gas is average.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. No regrets on my end..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Old Town. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in engineering. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from Austin about 10 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Active local events and festivals
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are growing, gas is excellent.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've been living here for 14 years and I'd say I'm still on the fence after all this time. The job market is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Internet is tough in most areas.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in government. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.
