Marietta in the winter -how bad?

First post here. Military spouse here. With a population of 61,773, Marietta is a smaller city. You can expect to pay around $1,491 for rent here. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Does this match your experience? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

I've lived in West for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good airport with direct flights
- The healthcare scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for singles. Feel free to reach out with questions..

I'm a lawyer and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. The community is tough and there's always something going on.
