Life in Marion as a young professional

First post here. Just moved here 10 months ago and Median household income is $87,105, which feels pretty solid for the area. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Anyone in a similar situation? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's exactly what I was looking for. The only thing I'd watch out for is housing market. Other than that, Happy to answer more specific questions..

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The job market is honestly pretty good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Active local events and festivals
- Four distinct seasons
- The dating scene scene is average

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for families. No regrets on my end..

Came here for school and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The outdoor recreation is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
