I relocated for work and Thanks for reading. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.

I've been here 4 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The West side vs the Midtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cultural scene, then yeah this place is great. But if cultural scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I work in government here and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The job market for my field is decent. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Used to live on the Midtown side, now on the Riverside side. Completely different vibe. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Hot take but it's been a really good experience overall. I know a lot of people disagree but after 15 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.
