Hi all, Homes are going for about $105,900 on average. It's a a smaller city city with about 35,771 people. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. What would you do? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

I'm a marketing manager and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. The community is excellent and there's always something going on.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Lakewood. It's pretty good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in government. If you're in retail you might struggle.
People: Generally pretty good. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Southern.
