OK so I'm a 41-year-old writer and Median household income is $54,000, which feels on the lower side for the area. The unemployment rate is 1.8%, which is pretty low. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What are your go-to spots? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Weather-wise, the summers are surprisingly good and winters are pricey. You get used to it after the first year.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 5 years ago. The main reasons were school and quality of life.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Close to major attractions
- Diverse dining options
Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Road conditions need improvement
Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are established, gas is hit or miss.
Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Used to live on the Fairview side, now on the Pine Hills side. Completely different vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly.
