Job market in Marlborough for tech?

Hey folks, My family moved here when I was a kid. The median home value here is around $485,400, which is pretty steep. Poverty rate is 6.6%, which is pretty low. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value safety, you'll love it. The walkability is genuinely tough and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (Eastside) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Portland, be prepared for the culture shock. food scene is completely different here. And Urban sprawl is real.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's not perfect but it works for me. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

As someone who grew up here, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cost of living used to be much developing but now it's improving.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's been a really good experience overall. Internet is tough in most areas.

I've been living here for 1 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The healthcare is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..
