We moved here with our family and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Schools in Sunset area are excellent. Kids love it here.

Bought a house here in 2018 and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from New York about 1 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Lots of new development happening
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are wild, gas is average.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
