Housing market in Marquette right now

Random thought, Median household income is $55,825, which feels about average for the area. Household incomes average around $55,825 in Marquette. Rent is about $958/month for a decent place. The median home value here is around $254,100, which seems about average. Crime rate is something to consider -Marquette sits at 126.2 per 100K. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Pros:
- Good job market
- Growing food scene
- Good schools

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Cold winters
- Far from major airports
Anyone in a similar situation? Cheers. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.
