Is Marrero worth it salary-wise?

The unemployment rate is 4.0%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 72--F, so it's warm year-round. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Anyone in a similar situation? Thanks! Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

As someone who grew up here, the quality of life is solid. A lot has changed in the past few years though. pet-friendliness used to be much stable but now it's improving.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Compared to New York it's improving.

I've been living here for 15 years and I'd say the quality of life is solid. The safety is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Used to live on the Meadowbrook side, now on the Highland side. Completely different vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Hot take but it exceeded my expectations. I know a lot of people disagree but after 7 years here, that's my honest assessment.
