Just moved to Marrero, any tips?

Longtime lurker here, I'm a 42-year-old contractor and The unemployment rate is 4.0%, which is pretty low. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Does this match your experience? Any help is appreciated. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is housing market. it's been a really good experience overall. Worth doing your research before committing.
