Random thought, Just moved here 13 months ago and Crime rate is something to consider -Marshalltown sits at 388.9 per 100K. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
