Housing market in Marshfield Hills right now

Hello, I'm a 44-year-old chef and Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. Does this match your experience? Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 9 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Maple Ridge side vs the Highland side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a nurse, 35, moved here 3 years ago from Salt Lake City. I've lived in Highland and Midtown, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Good schools in most areas
2. Good healthcare facilities
3. Good internet infrastructure
4. The people are generally average - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Traffic during rush hour is rough
2. Rising rent and home prices
3. The housing market situation is reasonable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Highland: Great for young professionals. pretty good vibes, walkable.
- Midtown: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Salt Lake City, everything felt underrated. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are stable. Gas is developing. You can live comfortably on $70K-$90K here.

**Final verdict:**
Would recommend to anyone considering it.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

We moved here with our family and it was the best decision I ever made. Schools in Downtown area are solid. Kids love it here.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Feel free to reach out with questions..

I've lived in Riverside for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Decent public transit for the size
- The public transit scene is improving

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Limited shopping options

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for singles. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

The food scene here is hit or miss. Tons of great Southern places. I have mixed feelings honestly.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I love the pace of life here. Internet is challenging in most areas.

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.
