Is it worth buying in Marshfield?

I'm a 48-year-old lawyer and With a population of 18,718, Marshfield is a small town. Median household income is $59,294, which feels about average for the area. You can expect to pay around $798 for rent here. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 11 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is surprisingly good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Downtown side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
