Job hunting in Martinsville -tips?

OK so I grew up here but left for a while. Median household income is $56,186, which feels about average for the area. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I've lived in Highland for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Strong job market in several industries
- The dating scene scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for couples. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Moved here from San Diego about 1 years ago. it exceeded my expectations. Still getting used to housing market but No regrets on my end..
