Best industries in Marvin right now

Hey folks, Just moved here 11 months ago and The median home value here is around $860,600, which is pretty steep. Homes are going for about $860,600 on average. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Should I be concerned? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

I'm a contractor and I've found it exceeded my expectations. The community is better than expected and there's always something going on.

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good healthcare facilities
- The safety scene is decent

The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. Hope this helps!.

Weather-wise, the summers are better than expected and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value weather, you'll love it. The safety is genuinely hit or miss and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. My neighborhood (Uptown) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Pittsburgh, be prepared for the culture shock. cost of living is completely different here. And Limited high-paying job options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is traffic. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Worth doing your research before committing.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are average, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I've been living here for 4 years and I'd say it was the best decision I ever made. The walkability is surprisingly good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
