Not sure if this has been asked before, but With a population of 18,669, Maryland City is a small town. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. What do you all think?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a accountant who relocated here from Seattle about 1 years ago. The main reasons were family and school.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good internet infrastructure
Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Can feel isolated
Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are pricey, gas is surprisingly good.
Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Good luck with whatever you decide..
