I work in food service and The unemployment rate is 2.7%, which is pretty low. With a population of 9,942, Marysville is a small town. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Am I wrong here? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Bought a house here in 2017 and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Property values have gone about the same since then.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a chef who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 11 years ago. The main reasons were work and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good internet infrastructure
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Nightlife is limited
Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are manageable, gas is tough.
Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
