Best areas to explore in Marysville?

Hi all, We're a young couple and It's a a smaller city city with about 71,570 people. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. What do you all think? Cheers. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

I've lived in Westside for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The pet-friendliness scene is average

The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for retirees. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Came here for quality of life and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The outdoor recreation is honestly surprisingly good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Compared to Dallas it's underrated.
