Hey everyone, My family moved here when I was a kid. It's a a smaller city city with about 32,196 people. Household incomes average around $79,340 in Maryville. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. What neighborhoods would you suggest?

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Compared to Houston it's average.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want weather, then yeah this place is great. But if healthcare matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Austin about 13 years ago. The main reasons were weather and school.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Diverse dining options
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are competitive, gas is decent.
Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is school system. I genuinely enjoy living here. Worth doing your research before committing.
