Best kept secrets of Mastic, NY

Been meaning to ask this. I relocated for work and Poverty rate is 5.5%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Mastic sits at 22.0 per 100K. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Worth the trade-offs?

My experience has been mostly positive. it was the best decision I ever made. The only thing I'd watch out for is nightlife. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..
