Is Matamoras (New Matamoras) good for remote workers?

I've been here for 18 years and Homes are going for about $103,500 on average. You can expect to pay around $566 for rent here. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks for reading. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it's not perfect but it works for me. Compared to Salt Lake City it's tough.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want housing market, then yeah this place is great. But if cost of living matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 5 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Greenfield side vs the Springfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..

I've been living here for 6 years and I'd say I have mixed feelings honestly. The job market is surprisingly good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

Bought a house here in 2015 and I genuinely enjoy living here. Property values have gone about the same since then.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a nurse who relocated here from Chicago about 8 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Affordable housing options
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are manageable, gas is pretty good.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Happy to answer more specific questions..
