Random thought, I work in education and Household incomes average around $122,026 in Matawan. Rent is about $1,714/month for a decent place. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Am I wrong here? Appreciate any input. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.
