Is Mays Landing a good place to live?
Hey everyone, I'm single, late 50s, and With a population of 6,178, Mays Landing is a small town. Rent is about $1,150/month for a decent place. Median household income is $80,777, which feels pretty solid for the area. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up.
