Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.
I've been here 12 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is improving.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the North side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
No regrets on my end..

Hot take but it's not perfect but it works for me. I know a lot of people disagree but after 13 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a accountant who relocated here from Austin about 11 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and school.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good internet infrastructure
Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Road conditions need improvement
Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are reasonable, gas is tough.
Socially, I love the pace of life here. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

As someone who grew up here, it's been a really good experience overall. A lot has changed in the past few years though. traffic used to be much competitive but now it's better than expected.
