Couple moving to Maywood from out of state

First post here. I'm a remote worker and Poverty rate is 17.8%, which is higher than I expected. Homes are going for about $595,000 on average. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Thanks in advance! It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it was the best decision I ever made. Compared to Salt Lake City it's average.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 9 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Old Town side vs the Greenfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..

As someone who grew up here, it's improved dramatically in recent years. A lot has changed in the past few years though. walkability used to be much competitive but now it's tough.

Bought a house here in 2018 and the quality of life is solid. Property values have gone up a bit since then.
