Day-to-day life in McAllen, TX

I'm a teacher here and Household incomes average around $60,165 in McAllen. Poverty rate is 17.8%, which is higher than I expected. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want weather, then yeah this place is great. But if healthcare matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
