Used to live on the South side, now on the Oak Park side. Completely different vibe. it's been a really good experience overall.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 4 years ago. The main reasons were family and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Four distinct seasons
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are wild, gas is underrated.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Happy to answer more specific questions..
