Is McDade good for remote workers?

Born and raised here. The median home value here is around $299,600, which seems about average. Poverty rate is 5.8%, which is pretty low. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Am I wrong here? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Hot take but it's been a really good experience overall. I know a lot of people disagree but after 4 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 3 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Oak Park side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..
