Moving from San Diego to McDonough next month

Been meaning to ask this. We have two kids and It's a a smaller city city with about 30,056 people. Median household income is $77,734, which feels about average for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -McDonough sits at 274.0 per 100K. Household incomes average around $77,734 in McDonough. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Worth the trade-offs? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The food scene is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Bought a house here in 2016 and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Property values have gone about the same since then.

Public transit is hit or miss here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's not perfect but it works for me.
