What to expect moving to McFarland?

Hey, We're a young couple and Average temperature is around 64--F, so the weather is moderate. Rent is about $1,067/month for a decent place. Median household income is $51,801, which feels on the lower side for the area. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Should I be concerned? The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'm a project manager and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. The community is decent and there's always something going on.

As someone who grew up here, it's not perfect but it works for me. A lot has changed in the past few years though. dating scene used to be much stable but now it's underrated.
