Hello, I'm retired and Median household income is $88,578, which feels pretty solid for the area. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cost of living, then yeah this place is great. But if safety matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a contractor who relocated here from Miami about 3 years ago. The main reasons were work and quality of life.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Lots of new development happening
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Homeless population growing downtown
Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are wild, gas is better than expected.
Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, the quality of life is solid. Happy to answer more specific questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in The Heights. It's challenging for what you get.
Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in construction. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.
People: Generally solid. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Indian.
