Most overrated things about McHenry

I've been here for 6 years and The median home value here is around $244,900, which is actually reasonable. You can expect to pay around $1,508 for rent here. Poverty rate is 1.6%, which is pretty low. It's a a smaller city city with about 27,774 people. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Has anyone dealt with this? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

I've lived in Downtown for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Atlanta, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Close to major attractions
- The food scene scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Road conditions need improvement

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. No regrets on my end..
