Best coffee shops in McKee City?

Hey everyone, Born and raised here. Poverty rate is 7.7%, which is pretty low. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up.

I work in consulting here and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The job market for my field is improving. No regrets on my end..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 13 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Lakewood side vs the Maple Ridge side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is safety. it's exactly what I was looking for. Worth doing your research before committing.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I love the pace of life here. Internet is decent in most areas.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Riverside. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in retail. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Thai.

No regrets on my end..

We moved here with our family and it's not perfect but it works for me. Schools in Downtown area are average. Kids love it here.

I've lived in Midtown for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Lots of new development happening
- The cultural scene scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Nightlife is limited

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for couples. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Bought a house here in 2023 and it was the best decision I ever made. Property values have gone up significantly since then.
