Hi all, Born and raised here. The median home value here is around $373,500, which seems about average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a sales manager who relocated here from LA about 9 years ago. The main reasons were weather and a job opportunity.
Pros I've experienced:
- Lots of new development happening
- Close to major attractions
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Limited high-paying job options
Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are pricey, gas is decent.
Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. No regrets on my end..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in The Heights. It's tough for what you get.
Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in tech. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.
People: Generally excellent. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like sushi.
Definitely worth checking out..

I'm a physical therapist and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. The community is excellent and there's always something going on.

Came here for work and stayed because there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The pet-friendliness is honestly surprisingly good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I've been living here for 3 years and I'd say it's been a really good experience overall. The housing market is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Used to live on the Sunset side, now on the Midtown side. Completely different vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want food scene, then yeah this place is great. But if healthcare matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
