Random thought, I work in hospitality and Median household income is $92,736, which feels pretty solid for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Meadows Place sits at 108.3 per 100K. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Thoughts? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a nurse who relocated here from Dallas about 6 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and cost of living.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Active local events and festivals
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Dating scene is rough
Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are competitive, gas is improving.
Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Hot take but it's improved dramatically in recent years. I know a lot of people disagree but after 2 years here, that's my honest assessment.
