Hey folks, The median home value here is around $222,000, which is actually reasonable. The city has invested a lot in new development. What are your go-to spots?

Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are developing. You get used to it after the first year.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I have mixed feelings honestly. Compared to Pittsburgh it's underrated.

Used to live on the Uptown side, now on the North side. Completely different vibe. it exceeded my expectations.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Internet is underrated in most areas.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.
I've been here 6 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is tough.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Greenfield side vs the Oak Park side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
