Moving to Mecca with kids -good idea?

Hey, I'm retired and With a population of 7,071, Mecca is a small town. It's a a small town city with about 7,071 people. Median household income is $45,011, which feels on the lower side for the area. You can expect to pay around $900 for rent here. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Anyone in a similar situation? The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Public transit is surprisingly good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's not perfect but it works for me.
