Pros and cons of Mechanicsburg after 11 years
First post here. Am I overthinking this? I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I've been living here for 12 years and I'd say I'm still on the fence after all this time. The cost of living is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Chicago about 7 years ago. The main reasons were family and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good internet infrastructure
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Dating scene is rough
Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are developing, gas is challenging.
Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Definitely worth checking out..
