How is the nightlife in Medford?

Anyone else feel this way? My family moved here when I was a kid. The median home value here is around $715,500, which is pretty steep. The unemployment rate is 3.1%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $2,477 for rent here. Rent is about $2,477/month for a decent place. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Any advice would be great. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

I work in hospitality here and it's not perfect but it works for me. The job market for my field is excellent. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I have mixed feelings honestly. Compared to Austin it's surprisingly good.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in North for 8 years. Moved from New York for quality of life. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is excellent. We bought in 2021 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
healthcare is strong here. legal is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are stable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I genuinely enjoy living here. The outdoor scene is improving - we have national forests within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. North schools are challenging. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Not very walkable outside downtown. Property taxes are high. And safety can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For remote workers, I'd say this is a 5/10. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
