Anyone else feel this way? I'm a remote worker and Median household income is $118,089, which feels pretty solid for the area. Poverty rate is 3.0%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $715,500, which is pretty steep. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Used to live on the Lakewood side, now on the Cedar Grove side. Completely different vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.
I've been here 3 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is public transit. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is decent.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Maple Ridge side vs the Springfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Weather-wise, the summers are solid and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.
