Working remotely from Medford — my experience

I've been working remotely from Medford for 12 years now. Here's my take:

The pace of life here is perfect for remote work. No crazy commute stress, affordable living, and enough amenities to not feel isolated.

Cost of living: pretty reasonable
Internet: Could be better but workable with a good provider
Coworking spaces: Limited but the library works in a pinch

If you're looking for a place to WFH, Medford is worth considering.

Rent tip: look for places in January-February. Prices drop and there's more availability.

My kids love it here. So many parks and activities. Great value for the money.

As someone who moved here from Atlanta, I can confirm most of this. The friendliness of people surprised me the most.

For families, I'd recommend looking at Northside. Schools are rated well and it's quiet.

Can confirm the safety issue. But it really depends on the neighborhood. Riverside and Lakewood are perfectly safe.
