Hey, What are your go-to spots? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a project manager who relocated here from Minneapolis about 3 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and cost of living.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong job market in several industries
Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Dating scene is rough
Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are established, gas is solid.
Socially, the quality of life is solid. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

The food scene here is underrated. Tons of great BBQ places. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Used to live on the Cedar Grove side, now on the East side. Completely different vibe. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a writer who relocated here from Minneapolis about 6 years ago. The main reasons were school and quality of life.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good internet infrastructure
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Limited shopping options
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are manageable, gas is surprisingly good.
Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. No regrets on my end..
