Hey everyone, I work in hospitality and You can expect to pay around $1,025 for rent here. It's a a smaller city city with about 26,040 people. Rent is about $1,025/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 49--F, so expect cold winters. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What do you all think? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in East. It's improving for what you get.
Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in real estate. If you're in construction you might struggle.
People: Generally average. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.

Came here for quality of life and stayed because it exceeded my expectations. The nightlife is honestly underrated and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to Atlanta it's average.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want food scene, then yeah this place is great. But if walkability matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
