Life in Medina as a young professional

Hey everyone, I grew up here but left for a while. Household incomes average around $76,099 in Medina. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Anyone in a similar situation?

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Nashville, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good schools in most areas
- The food scene scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Winters are long and cold

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for couples. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Boston about 3 years ago. The main reasons were school and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Decent public transit for the size

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are growing, gas is solid.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

The food scene here is improving. Tons of great Italian places. I genuinely enjoy living here.

I work in manufacturing here and it's not perfect but it works for me. The job market for my field is challenging. Definitely worth checking out..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Meadowbrook. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in real estate. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Definitely worth checking out..
