Moving to Melbourne for work -advice?
First post here. You can expect to pay around $1,411 for rent here. The unemployment rate is 2.6%, which is pretty low. It's a a smaller city city with about 85,718 people. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Would love some local perspective. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.
